3. WEAR AND TEAR

All covered Mechanical Failure due to normal Wear & Tear within the listed covered parts.

4. TOWING (For Mechanical Failure)

Reimbursement shall be made up to $350 maximum per occurrence for towing expenses incurred due to a Mechanical Failure covered under Your Agreement. A valid towing invoice must be submitted to Global at the time of Claim for review and authorization of coverage.

5. RV TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

RV Technical Assistance is available twenty-four hours a day, three hundred sixty-five days a year. The services of a certified or master certified technician as recognized by the RVDA and RVIA are available to You as often as needed. Our technicians are adept at answering questions for any RV concern. Examples of common technical support questions are electrical (12V DC & 110V AC), LP Gas, appliances, fresh water system, leveling and slide outs. This service is not meant as a substitute for proper and routine maintenance.

6. ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE

Reimbursement shall be made to You for up to $200 per occurrence up to $500 (Term maximum) for the following Services for Your Covered RV:

  1. Winching service if stuck in snow, mud or side of the road;
  2. Battery boosting service;
  3. Emergency fuel delivery service if You run out of fuel (up to 20 litres: fuel extra);
  4. Flat tire service for the installation of a spare; and
  5. Vehicle entry service (locksmith services) should the keys be lost or locked in the RV. Valid receipts must be submitted for reimbursement.

7. TRIP INTERRUPTION

Reimbursement shall be made to You up to $150 maximum per day for lodging, meals, bus or taxi, up to $500 (Term maximum), if you are more than 150 kilometers away from home (one way) and an Authorized Repair Centre cannot provide same day emergency service covered under this Agreement. Valid receipts will be required for reimbursement.

8. CAR RENTAL

Reimbursement shall be made up to a $300 maximum for the Agreement Coverage Period with a $75 maximum per day for car rental expenses incurred due to a Mechanical Failure covered under this Agreement that requires an overnight Repair. Prior approval must be obtained from Global and valid receipts must be submitted to Global for reimbursement.

9. FOOD SPOILAGE

Reimbursement shall be made up to $450 maximum for the Agreement Coverage Period with a $150 maximum per occurrence for food and liquid spoilage due to an eligible and covered Mechanical Failure of Your Covered RV Factory Installed refrigerator or freezer. Valid receipts must be provided as Global may determine in their sole discretion.

10. ON-SITE SERVICE

If required, on-site service will be available to You, in the event of an eligible Mechanical Failure, for a service call at Your campsite only, up to a maximum of $400 if the trailer or component cannot be taken into a dealer repair centre for repairs.

26. FRESH WATER SYSTEM

Water pump, compressor, water tanks, water lines, traps, fittings, connections, probe harness and drains & faucets.

14. SEALS & GASKETS (Coach)

All seals and gaskets within the listed Covered Parts for new RVs. On used RVs, Seals and Gaskets are covered only if required in conjunction with the Repair or replacement of a listed Covered Part.

15. RV TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

RV Technical Assistance is available twenty-four hours a
day, three hundred sixty-five days a year. The services of a certified or master certified technician as recognized by the RVDA and RVIA are available to You as often as needed. Our technicians are adept at answering questions for any RV concern. Examples of common technical support questions are electrical (12V DC & 110V AC), LP Gas, appliances, fresh water system, leveling and slide outs. This service is not meant as a substitute for proper and routine maintenance.

16. TRIP INTERRUPTION

Reimbursement shall be made up to $500 maximum for the Policy Coverage Period with a $150 maximum per day for lodging, meals, bus or taxi, if You are more than 150 kilometers away from home (one way) and an Authorized Repair Facility cannot provide same day/emergency service covered under this Policy. Valid receipts must be provided as the Insurer may determine in their sole discretion.

17. FOOD SPOILAGE

Reimbursement shall be made up to $450 maximum for the Policy Coverage Period with a $150 maximum per occurrence for food and liquid spoilage due to an eligible and covered Mechanical Breakdown of Your Covered RV Factory Installed refrigerator or freezer. Valid receipts must be provided as the Insurer may determine in their sole discretion.

18. ON-SITE SERVICE

If required, on-site service will be available to You, in the event of an eligible Mechanical Breakdown, for a service call at Your campsite only, up to a maximum of $400 if the trailer or component cannot be taken into a dealer repair centre for repairs.

19. SLIDE-OUT ROOMS / RAISED ROOF EXTENSION SYSTEM (Optional)

Mechanical, electrical or hydraulic slide-out
room extension system and raised roof extension system, motors, pump/jack assembly, lines, fittings, cylinders, worm gear, electric switch, wiring harness, and slide seals only in conjunction with a covered Repair.

20. LEVELING / JACK SYSTEM (Optional if Factory Installed)

Mechanical, electrical or hydraulic components of the hydraulic coach leveling/jack system including all motors, pump/jack assembly, lines, cylinders, electric switches, wiring harness, air bags, fittings & lines and jack deployment sensors.

Backing plates, brake assembly, brake controller, brake line hose, hard lines/fittings, breakaway, switches and magnets, caliper, drum brake master cylinder, dust boot, electrical brake actuators, hydraulic surge protector assembly, hydraulic brake actuators, hydraulic reservoir, master cylinder, mounting flange/ brackets, sensor clip, solenoid kit, and wiring harness.

2. SUSPENSION

Actuators, spindle/hub assembly, spindle/ hub assembly bearings, hub spacer, axle/beam assembly, hanger brackets, leaf spring, leaf spring sliders, rubberized suspension, components, and torsion axle.

3. FRAME

Frame mounts/bushings, tongue latch assembly, and trailer tongue (bolt on only).

4. LIFT CRANK SYSTEM / TILT MECHANISM / JACKS

Drop leg post, foot mount, jack handle, jack/swivel, thrust bearing, wheel, and wheel bracket.

5. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM (Factory Installed 12V/110V/220V):

Lights (interior, exterior), outlets, power cable, switches, and wiring harness.

6. COMMERCIAL USE VEHICLES (Optional)

Coverage for Mechanical Failure on Vehicles which are used for Commercial Purposes.

1. FLAT TIRES

You will be reimbursed up to a maximum of $200 per occurrence for the following: repairing a flat tire caused by a Road Hazard while operating the Covered Vehicle in a legal manner.

2. TIRE REPLACEMENT

You will be reimbursed for the Reasonable Costs to replace a tire, only if a tire covered by this Agreement becomes unrepairable, as deemed by Global, due to damage caused by a Road Hazard. Replacement will be made, at Global’s sole discretion, with a tire of “like kind and quality”, which may include a pro rata adjustment, with current tread depth. Note: Tire Replacement is limited to an aggregate benefit of $2,000 for all regular and snow tires.

3. WHEELS

You will be reimbursed for Reasonable Costs to Repair or replace Wheels rendered Unserviceable due to a Road Hazard covered under this Agreement. We reserve the right to have damaged Wheels Repaired at our cost by a service provider of our choosing. We further reserve the right to replace the Wheel, at our cost, with one of “like kind and quality” up to and including used. Any bent Wheels are eligible for replacement, only if damaged from a Road Hazard, and will not allow the Wheel to seal with its tire. The maximum Limit of Liability for Wheel replacements is four, for the Term of this Agreement.

4. MOUNTING AND BALANCING

You will be reimbursed for the Reasonable Costs for mounting, balancing, valve stems, and tire disposal for any tire replaced under this Agreement. However, unspecified charges for shop supplies are excluded.
